Smothered Steak
2 pounds lean ground meat
1/2 cup of chopped bell pepper
1 teaspoon of garlic powder
1/2 cup of chopped onions
2 tablespoons of yellow mustard
Gravy Ingredients:
J.A cup of cooking oil
1 can of chopped mushrooms
3 tablespoons of white flour
1 can of beef bullion
STEAK:
Combine meat with other ingredients in a large bowl. Pat into 4-6 hamburgers.
Fry in shallow cooking oil until desired doneness. Remove patties.
GRAVY:
Pour oil out of pan retaining 1/4 cup. Add flour to oil on high heat to form
gravy base. Add mushrooms and beef bullion. Stir until done (water may be
added to thin)
Final Touch: Pour gravy over steaks.
