Lasagna 3

1 (10 oz.) pkg. lasagna
3 Tbsp. salad oil
1 large onion, chopped
1 lb. hamburger meat
1 (6 oz.) can tomato sauce
2 c. juice, drained from
1 can tomatoes (add water to make 2 c.)
1 tsp. dried parsley
2 tsp. sugar
2 tsp. salt
1/8 tsp. pepper
1 lb. sliced mozzarella cheese
1 (12 oz.) ctn. cottage cheese, drained
1/2 c. grated Parmesan cheese

Cook lasagna as directed. While it cooks, brown meat and onion in oil. Then add tomato sauce and seasonings. Heat thoroughly and stir in tomato juice and water. Simmer on low heat about 10 minutes. In 9x13x2 inch glass baking dish, spread 1/2 cup of meat sauce. Arrange 3 strips of cooked lasagna, parallel lengthwise over sauce, then a layer of Mozzarella cheese, then 1/2 of cottage cheese, and 1/2 of Parmesan.
Cut tomatoes into eighths and place 1/3 of them on top of Parmesan. Add 1/2 cup meat sauce. Add second layer of all ingredients, using lasagna crosswise. Then a third layer of all ingredients with lasagna lengthwise. Pour all remaining sauce over top. Add Mozzarella cheese on top to garnish. Bake at 325 about 40 minutes.
