Crumb Cake

2 c. all-purpose flour
1 1/2 c. dark brown sugar
1 stick margarine (1/2 c. shortening)
1 egg
1 c. sour milk
1/2 tsp. salt
1c. nuts
1 tsp. soda

Blend flour, sugar, shortening and salt until mixture has a crumb like consistency. Take a scant cup of this mixture out. To the rest add the milk and soda. Bake in a loaf pan, put the crumb mixture on top like icing before baking for 45 minutes at 375
