Coffee Cake


1/4 pound plus 1 tablespoon margarine
1 cup sugar
3 eggs beaten
1 1/4 cups sour cream
2 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
3 cups sifted flour
1/2 teaspoon salt

Filling/Topping:
1 cup white sugar
2 teaspoons cinnamon
2 teaspoons cocoa
1 cup chopped nuts (walnuts, pecans)


Preheat the oven to 375. Grease a 10 inch bundt pan.

Blend the first 8 ingredients well and pour half of the batter into a well greased bundt pan. Mix the filling ingredients together in a separate bowl and sprinkle half onto the cake batter mixture. Add the rest of the cake batter to the bundt pan. Finish by sprinkling the remaining half of the filling/topping on top of the cake batter. Bake for approximately 1 hour (until firm and golden brown).
