Carrot Cake

1 1/2 cup salad oil
4 eggs
2 cups sugar
1 cup chopped nuts
2 cups sifted flour
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoon soda
2 cups grated carrots
Beat eggs and oil. Add sugar gradually. Mix dry ingredients, add nuts. Add to eggs and oil and then add carrots. Bake at 350 for 40 to 45 minutes. Let cool and frost.

Frosting:
1 stick oleo or butter, softened
1 8 ounce package Philadelphia cream cheese
1 box powered sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla

Cream butter or oleo and cream cheese. Add sugar gradually and vanilla. Beat and spread on cake. (You can also put a 1/2 to 3/4 cup of chopped nuts in the frosting also.)
