Carmel Layer Brownies


Place 1 package caramels and 1/3 cup Pet milk in saucepan on low heat until caramels melt. Set aside while making the following:
Grease and flour a 9x13 inch pan. Combine a German chocolate cake mix with:
1/3 c. chopped pecans
1/3 c. Pet milk
2/3 c. melted margarine

Pour 1/2 batter in pan and pat to smooth evenly. Bake 6 minutes at 350. Sprinkle 1 cup chocolate chips over hot cake mixture. Spread caramel sauce over chips. Pour remaining batter over caramels and bake at 350 for 15 to 18 minutes. Cool to room temperature, allowing caramels to set. Cut in squares.
