Sourdough Biscuits


1 1/2 cups sifted flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons baking powder
1/4 cup butter
1/4 teaspoon soda
1 cup Sourdough Starter

Sift dry ingredients together in bowl. Cut in butter until crumbly. Add starter; mix well. Turn out onto lightly floured board. Knead lightly until satiny. Roll out dough Y2 inch thick. Cut with floured biscuit cutter. Place on well-greased baking pan, close together for soft crusts or separated for crisps crusts. Brush with melted butter. Let rise in warm place for 1 hour. Bake at 425 degrees for 20 minutes or until brown.
